Youth Singing
Competition
For the first time ever — young performers sing Gordon Lightfoot before a panel of judges, including the Lightfoot Band themselves.
Who knows — we may find the next great Canadian artist right here in Orillia.
The Lightfoot Festival is proud to host its very first Youth Singing Competition. Young performers up to age 18 will take the stage at Creative Nomad Studios on Friday afternoon, October 30, to perform a Gordon Lightfoot song of their choosing before a panel of judges.
The top contestants will be judged by members of the Lightfoot Band themselves, followed by an informal in-person chat session. Winners will receive prizes and be invited to perform again on Saturday afternoon at Quayle's Brewery for the full festival crowd.
This competition is a celebration of young talent and the enduring power of Gordon's music to inspire new generations of Canadian artists.
