Lightfoot Band Concert
Join us for a musical journey through the extensive catalogue of Gord’s music presented by his original band members, collectively now “The Lightfoot Band.” Orillia Opera House tickets are now available for the October 29th performance at the Box Office

Youth Singing Competition of Lightfoot Songs
On the afternoon of Friday, October 30th, we will be hosting our first ever, Lightfoot Festival Youth Singing Competition, at Creative Nomad. This unique event will be for youth up to 18 years, including grade 12, who will sing a Gordon Lightfoot song of their choosing.
Our panel of judges will select the top contestants, who will then be invited to perform for a celebrity panel–none other than members of the Lightfoot Band themselves, to determine our top three (3) contestants. Contestants must supply your own accompaniment. Prizes will be awarded to our winners.
And if that is not enough, our winners will be asked to perform again at our Festival on Saturday afternoon October 31st, at Quayle’s Brewery. Who knows, we may find our next great Canadian artist.

Choir Revolution & Gordon Lightfoot Stories
Friday night at Creative Nomad, will start out with Choir Revolution. Music professional, Mr. Brett Caswell will teach the audience a Gordon Lightfoot song, in harmony, ending up with a video of our choir, performing. It will be posted on various sites so you can impress your friends, neighbors and family with you singing ability.
Following up after Choir Revolution will be stories of Gordon Lightfoot shared by some special guests, and then we will close out the evening singing some of our favourite Lightfoot songs. Who knows, you may be discovered!!!!!

Quayle's Brewery Performances & Lightheaded Film Screening
Be sure to get some rest so that you are ready to join us at Quayle’s Brewery in Oro-Medonte, on Saturday afternoon & evening, October 31st. We will be:
A) showing the documentary Lightheaded: A Gordon Lightfoot State of Mind;
B) listening to our winners from the youth singing competition singing live;
C) cutting a cake celebrating the life of Gordon Lightfoot; and
D) performances from local artists including The High Steppin’ Strutters, Samantha Windover, and you will absolutely not want to miss the world premiere of a new exciting act, Martin & Martin.
