Join us for a musical journey through the extensive catalogue of Gord’s music presented by his original band members, collectively now “the Lightfoot Band.” Orillia Opera House tickets will be available here in 2026.

Gordon Lightfoot Memories

Join Gord’s family and old friends in an informal journey down memory lane with those who knew him best. In the past we have had notable personalities attend to share their memories, adventures–through the ups and downs of Gord’s life and career. FREE. Wristband required, and will only be available in the lobby following the Lightfoot Band Interactive Sessions–on a first come basis

The Lightfoot Band Interactive Sessions

Gord surrounded himself with the best musicians in the business. Come learn and understand what made each one of them great and how they contributed to the music and life of Gord…maybe you will come away with a few life-lessons too! Presented in 2 sessions, $30 costs

Folk Crawl

Experience the ambience of the various restaurants and pubs in Orillia as they feature talented artists singing Gordon Lightfoot’s repertoire in an atmosphere of folk 

Ancillary Events

Although not part of the four-day Festival days, we do want to commemorate Gord’s birth and ultimate passing with a FREE party at Quayle’s Brewery on Friday, November 14th from 5 until 8 pm and will feature:

 

5 – 5:45 Music by the High Steppin’ Strutters (familiar Lightfoot favourites)

5:45 – 6:15 Stories by John Winchester & John Swartz

6:15 – 6:30 Cut the cake, a few, brief remarks

 

6:30 – 7:00 Music by Ric Ross (Lightfoot standards and a stirring tribute song)

 

7:00 – 7:20 Stories by Linda Leatherdale and Betsy Gross (who dated Gord in High School)

 

7:20 – 8 High Steppin’ Strutters
