DESCRIPTION:This afternoon singing competition will showcase our talented local youth\, singing Lightfoot favorites. This will be followed by is an informal in-person chat session with the Lightfoot Band and special guests discussing the life and influence of Gordon Lightfoot. SUMMARY:Choir Revolution & Various Tribute Artists
DESCRIPTION:Choir Revolution is fun participatory singing experience involving regular folks coming together under the direction of Brett Caswell who will be teach a Lightfoot song\, in harmony\, culminating in a video of the choir performing. The video will be posted on various sites\, so you can impress your friends\, neighbors and family with your singing ability in almost a flash mob form. \nFollowing the Choir Revolution\, various Lightfoot tribute artists will perform well known and more obscure songs from Gordon’s songbook. \nPrice for the evening will be $35 pp. (Package price for all events is $85 vs $100 if bought individually) \n

You will have to attend to find out who they are! \nThe top three winners of the youth singing competition will have a chance to perform in the afternoon. Who knows\, you may be among the first to discover the next  great Canadian artist \nThe entire day of music and events will be $45 pp. Exact time TBD \nNote: there will be stages on three floors with performers rotating through the floors all day–there are no elevators\, so  it does involve some stair climbing

DESCRIPTION:Back due to popular demand\, this film celebrates and chronicles Gordon Lightfoot’s extraordinary career by taking viewers on a journey into the lives of his devoted fans\, affectionately known as “Lightheads.” The film begins with the legendary Canadian singer’s return tour to the United Kingdom and Ireland (where fans had waited more than 30 years to see him perform)\, but as the story unfolds it encompasses much more. The film’s themes of love\, friendship\, and dedication are sure to resonate even among viewers who are completely unfamiliar with Lightfoot’s music. Lightheaded features heartwarming anecdotes from rock-solid band members and fun\, endearing moments with his quirky fans and international crew from the United States and Israel—all woven together by a stellar soundtrack and an interview with Lightfoot at his home in Toronto.
